Church Safety Team Training – Range Course – THIS CLASS IS FULL (Please contact Eric in Contact Us if you are interested in a future course)
This course will cover the basics as related to Church Safety Team tactics, planning and proficiency. We will be covering:
Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit – why would this be required for safety teams
Insurance – Churches do not necessarily provide coverage for safety team members and if you are carrying you need to be covered for a number of reasons
Radio Communication – We will discuss and implement the need for radio communication and practice radio protocol
Weapons Qualification – Concealed carry will likely be the main defensive gear, but that does not exclude having access to a long gun. We will run drills that pertain to countering a mass shooter threat.

Sighted and unsighted shooting – and various drills
Movement
Rifle zero, movement and proficiency
Level 2 Shooting Qualifications – Stress with time drills and snap caps
Commands – When encountering a threat
What to look for when potential threat arises – Discuss what traits, personality, situations
Building your team – Discuss best practice for an effective team size
Medical – Safety teams should include collaboration with a medical team. Team members should have basic medical training regardless. Discuss basic medical.
Legal – Discussion
What to bring:
Dress- Initially dress as you would as a CC safety team member (will practice with that and then transition to tactical gear – vest)
Bring 50 to 100 rounds ammo
Pistol, rifle
Ear pro, safety glasses

Radios and earpiece
Water and snacks
