Course Purpose
Your concealed pistol is only as effective as your training, mindset, and muscle memory. This course delivers a rock-solid foundation in safe handling, accurate shooting, and legally sound tactics—so you can protect yourself and loved ones without hesitation or error.
Who Should Attend?
- Everyday concealed carriers with an Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit (required)
- New or experienced shooters seeking formal certification
- Anyone pursuing USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1
Core Curriculum (USCCA Standards)
- Universal Safety Rules & Mindset – Treat, Never, Keep, Keep—drilled into every action
- Handgun Anatomy & Operation – Revolvers vs. semi-autos, controls, malfunctions, ammo selection
- Grip, Stance & Sight Alignment – Two-hand, one-hand, isometric press, natural point of aim
- Trigger Control & Follow-Through – Prepping, pressing, resetting; eliminating flinch
- Draw Stroke Mastery – 4-count draw from everyday concealment (street attire)
- Defensive Accuracy Drills – 3–7–15 yard standards, failure-to-stop, one-handed shooting
- Movement & Use of Cover – Lateral steps, vehicles, walls, urban barricades
- Low-Light Engagement – Handheld & weapon-mounted light techniques
- Legal Use-of-Force Framework – When, why, and how much force is justified
- Post-Engagement Protocols – Holstering, scanning, calling 911, police interaction
Live-Fire Range Drills
- USCCA Qualification Course – 50-round standardized test (pass = certification)
- Stress-Induced Scenarios – Timer, movement, decision targets (shoot/no-shoot)
- Real-World Simulations – Parking lots, home entry, retail environments
Format:
- 6–8 hours (2 hrs classroom + 4–6 hrs live-fire range)
- Small ratio (max 6:1 student-to-instructor)
- Ammo & targets provided (9mm/.38 minimum; bring duty pistol + 200 rounds)
Certification Earned
- USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 (wallet card + digital badge)
- Qualifies for insurance documentation and advanced USCCA training
Prerequisites:
